Hey, Well personally I reckon the social system is pretty different, especially since I was in secondary school 7/8 years ago. The educational system in the UK is pretty different from the US also. So All I can suggest to you is to not be upset about ‘fitting in’.. I spent 2 years at college pretty much knowing only a handful of people and I was quiet towards anybody I didn’t know. When I studied in my final year I spent most of my free time listening to music sketching in the library or the quad alone and honestly it was that time that I was learning the most about myself. I did do extra curricular like School choir, Vocal group and art club so I met people with similar interests as me, I think in school that is the best way to meet people and have a starting point for conversation. Just don’t beat yourself up about it though. Try to join a few school clubs or a sport maybe. The more you use negative words like ‘loner’ the more you will believe it and stay in that place, make yourself believe you’re something better! As cheesy as it sounds, you are your only obstacle! if you’re gonna describe yourself in such a way it slyly leaves certain people the belief that they can call you the same names which is never good. It’s really all about your mindset. I hope it all works out! Hope I helped at least a little.
